Beyer sitzt in seiner B\u00fcro-K\u00fcchen-Einheit und reflektiert.  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Und jetzt ist er weg. The Man \u2013 The Myth \u2013 The Legend Prof. Gelse &amp; Family. Abgehauen, ausgerissen, umgezogen. Die rote Pille h\u00e4tte er nie geschluckt, h\u00e4tte sie im Agent Smith nicht aus Mitleid hineingepresst. Jetzt wird er Chef weit weg vom Moloch der Universit\u00e4tsklinik Erlangen: Ab dem 01.06.2019 gibt es nur noch einen Ort in Deutschland, wo man sich den Haxen brechen darf, n\u00e4mlich in Traunstein. Na gut, den BZ aus ehem. F g\u00e4be es auch noch. Also in G\u00fcnzburg darf man auch vom Rad fallen und gefallen werden.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eine vier Tage Woche g\u00e4be es dort in der Unfallchirurgie, wahrscheinlich aufgrund der N\u00e4he zu den Bergen und zum bayerischen Meer. Und keine Forschung m\u00fcsse er dort mehr betreiben. Erforschen muss er nur noch die n\u00e4here Umgebung &#8211; mit dem Rad, versteht sich. Als Chefarzt kann er sich ja mindestens zwei R\u00e4der pro Jahr g\u00f6nnen, schlie\u00dflich geht der Trend ganz offensichtlich zum Zehntrad. Und bei der Leistung die er generiert, k\u00f6nnte man eigens f\u00fcr ihn ein E-Bike mit Ladefunktion entwickeln, um Strom f\u00fcr den Haushalt zu erzeugen. Der Akku wird am Abend einfach an den Herd angeschlossen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Den anderen Chef\u00e4rzten bleibt \u00fcbrigens nur zu raten, dass sie nie mit The Man Radfahren gehen, oder sich nach einem Viertel der Strecke von ihren Ehefrauen abholen lassen. Ein Chefarztego ist schlie\u00dflich h\u00f6chst empfindlich und k\u00f6nnte, nein w\u00fcrde ganz gewiss zu Bruch gehen. Ein Arbeitskollege von The Man berichtete einmal, dass man Minderwertigkeitskomplexe bek\u00e4me, wenn man mit The Man gemeinsam in der Umkleide sei. Eine genauen Bezugspunkt nannte er aber nicht. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Zuviel g\u00e4be es zu berichten, \u00fcber The Man. Seit 1998 hat er sich durch das Erlanger Wasser gew\u00fchlt, sich die Anstiege in der Fr\u00e4nkischen Schweiz hochgepresst und seinen K\u00f6rper durch den Reichswald gewackelt. \u00dcber die Jahre war er nicht klein zu kriegen. Ch. Beyer erinnert sich exemplarisch an einen Trainingssonntag: The Man kam aus dem Nachtdienst und schwamm beim Training allen davon. Nach einer Stunde Schlaf lief er gem\u00fctlich die 20 Kilometer-Wasserturmrunde mit den anderen. Und, dass er am Abend noch drei Stunden Rad gefahren ist, hat er niemanden erz\u00e4hlt.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bikepacking und Ultracycling hat The Man zusammen mit Gerhard Train Hard Troch schon betrieben, als das Bike noch Fahrrad hie\u00df. Oben erw\u00e4hnter Winselmaier musste auf einer derartigen Viertagestour bereits nach wenigen Stunden die Segel streichen. Und die posttraumatischen Ulnarisl\u00e4sionen nach der Tour st\u00f6rten The Man nicht beim Operieren, schlie\u00dflich l\u00e4sst es sich auch mit einer Mittelhandfraktur noch Bestens N\u00e4gel in den Knochen schlagen. In diesem Zusammenhang sollte The Man aber unbedingt anerkennend Zustimmung Kund tun, wenn er Ch. Beyer mit gebrochener Patella auf dem Rad in Erlangen vorfindet, den Lenker in der Linken und die Kr\u00fccken in der Rechten. Immerhin hatte Ch. Beyer noch vorbildlich seine Dunjoy-Schiene getragen, auch wenn er die Sperrklinken herausgenommen hatte. Mit 90\u00b0 Bewegungsausma\u00df l\u00e4sst es sich einfach nicht Radfahren. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Man war ein stetes Vorbild. Immer bis in die Haarspitzen motiviert, immer top fit, immer Vollgas. Lediglich als er erst eine, dann zwei, dann drei und zuletzt vier Frauen zu Hause hatte, br\u00f6ckelte das Fundament. Da kam es zumindest gelegentlich vor, dass The Man sich einiger Wesensz\u00fcge des Winselmaiers bediente und sich in der Middle of the Pack beim Schwimmen einreihte, nachdem er einmal mehr eine Nacht durchoperiert hatte. Zuletzt, als er die rote Pille endlich geschluckt hatte, lief er wieder zu alter Form auf. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align:left\">\u00c4hnlich wie beim BZ aus ehemals F. rei\u00dft der Abgang von The Man eine L\u00fccke, die nicht zu schlie\u00dfen ist: Der Freund und Sportler, quasi der Sportsfreund, Gelse wird nicht zu ersetzen sein, von seiner irrsinnigen netten Familie ganz abgesehen. Es bleibt nur zu hoffen, dass er noch m\u00f6glichst lange in Erlangen habilitiert bleibt und regelm\u00e4\u00dfig Vorlesungen vor Ort gibt: Ein Ehrenplatz auf der Schwimmbahn wird immer vorhanden sein. Schlie\u00dflich empfindet es Ch. Beyer sehr beruhigend, dass The Man &amp; Family immerhin noch in Kaffeekr\u00e4nzchenreichweite wohnen: Am Abend los, am n\u00e4chsten Tag p\u00fcnktlich zu Kaffee und Kuchen und am Abend wieder zur\u00fcck.
